An electrician with experience, but a CV that lacks detail

This example assumes a qualified electrician whose CV lists job titles and duties but gives little detail about their work. It is an illustration of the review format, not a customer result or an assessment of your circumstances.

What comes through: relevant hands-on experience and a clear employment history.

What needs work: the CV does not explain the types of installations, testing work or responsibilities behind those job titles. Qualification titles and dates also need to be easy to find.

Practical changes: add two or three specific examples under each recent role. Describe the work, your responsibility and the result. List the exact qualifications you hold, without suggesting you already hold Australian licences.
